This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Manchester Embroidery Ltd, trading as Crown Workwear, is responsible for your personal data (the “controller”). Our address is , and you can contact us about your data at [email protected].

What we collect

• Your name, company name, email address and phone number
• Billing and delivery addresses
• What you order or ask us to quote for, including colours, sizes and any instructions
• The logos and artwork you upload
• Confirmation that you have paid (never your full card details, see below)

Why we use it

• To make, deliver and invoice your order, as part of our contract with you
• To prepare a quotation you have asked for, at your request before any contract
• To keep order and invoice records, as the law requires for tax and accounting
• To prevent fraud and keep this website secure, which is in our legitimate interests

We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing you have not asked for.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Square. Your card details go straight to Square through its secure card form and never reach us; Square handles them under its own privacy notice.

Who we share it with

• Square, to take your payment
• The companies that host our website, database, file storage and email, who only act on our instructions
• Our courier, if you choose delivery: your name, delivery address and phone number

How long we keep it

Order records, including invoices, are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Quote requests that do not lead to an order are kept only as long as we need them to follow up with you. Artwork is kept so that repeat orders match the original; ask us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or pass it to another organisation. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and your basket

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

• Your basket is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives a page refresh. It stays on your device and is only sent to us when you place your order.
• At checkout, Square's card form may set cookies it needs to take payments securely and prevent fraud.
• Staff signing in to the shop's admin area are given a sign-in cookie. Customers are never given one.

If we change this policy, we will update it here. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
